松尾英輔教授（バイオセラピー学科）は、財団法人松下幸之助花の万博記念財団より、「植物を育てることの重要性を見据え、園芸福祉を提唱し、その活動の普及を通じて社会に多大な貢献をした功績」が評価され、記念賞を受賞。
2nd International Conference on Acetic Acid Bacteria，Best Poster Award 受賞
松井一晃さん（大学院農学研究科醸造学専攻博士前期課程2年）は平成20年11月11?14日に開催された2nd International Conference on Acetic Acid Bacteria（第2回国際酢酸菌会議）において発表した「Molecular Chaperons in Acetobacter pasteurianus NBRC 3283 and Their Relationship to Acetic Acid Fermentation」が評価され，Best Poster Award を受賞
