Graduate School of Tokyo University of Agriculture Landscape Architecture

You can study and receive education by selecting one of the following three specializations: “Planning and Design”, “Plants and Planting Theory” and “Engineering, Facility and Materials” of Landscape Architecture.

The Specialization of Planning and Design of Landscape Architecture

Our purpose is that you learn Planning and Design which play an important role in city planning. You are expected to study the relationship between people and the environment through the point of view of landscape architectural basic principles and planning theory.

The Specialization of Plants and Planting Theory of Landscape Architecture

Our purpose is that you learn landscape architectural planting techniques in a city environment, restoration or conservation and use of vegetation, as well as maintenance of such vegetation. You are expected to study classification, growth and the adaptation to various environments with regard to landscape architectural plant resources.

The Specialization of Engineering, Facility and Materials of Landscape Architecture

Our purpose is that you learn engineering, facility and materials with regards to gardens, public parks, cities and rural areas. You are expected to study landscape design theory and techniques which encompass environment, culture and landscape, based on biological diversity through the point of view of engineering.
