Pursuing sustainable life through aquatic environment
The research field in Department of Ocean and Fisheries Sciences places students in familiar surroundings, where they study the marine industry and food/environmental problems and gain knowledge in the production, processing, and distribution of aquatic products that are an integral part of people’s lives. For students who show willingness and communication ability and who can adapt to living with the sea, student life itself becomes practice for learning. Through things noticed in field studies and in interactions with fishermen, students are likely to develop new values, together with powers of observation and creativity.
