Aiming for the harmony of forest functions and sustainable human life
Forests greatly contribute to the global environment, while the products from them, such as timbres, support sustainable human life and also they also help natural conservation.
Our department aims for harmonizing the functions of forests and human life. Therefore, we adopt diverse and sometimes multiple techniques for research and education.
One of the unique characteristics of the department is our two-step education scheme: in the first stage the students can get the basic knowledge and skills about forest, and in the second they will gradually be guided into the extensive and practical studies of issued related to protection, exploitation, utilization, products, and culture of forest.
