On Wednesday, May 12, 2021, Center for Global Initiatives (CGI) hosted “Welcome Party for International Students” online. The event started with welcome remarks by the Director of CGI, Dr. Prof. Machito Mihara, followed by greetings from CGI staff members, and two breakout sessions for the students to meet new friends and get to know each other. In total of 54 people, including not only international students but Japanese students and professors from the three campuses, participated in the event. The event was filled with friendly interactions among the participants. Although some of the international students are still in their home countries due to the pandemic, we hope they were able to meet new friends and enjoyed the event!
