Tokyo NODAI was selected for “Inter-University Exchange Project” –promoting the establishment of inter-university networking with African countries- by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

Our university’s project proposal on “Project-based Collaborative Education Programs focusing of Nutrition Improvement in Africa” has been selected by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology under its "Inter-University Exchange Project" –promoting the establishment of inter-university networking with African countries- for the fiscal year 2020.

The "Inter-University Exchange Project" aims to foster global human resources who can play an active role internationally, and strengthen the global expansion of university education. While ensuring the quality of higher education, this project aims at supporting the efforts of international education cooperation through studying abroad for Japanese students and acceptance of foreign students in Japan.

For the fiscal year 2020, among the 31 applications with projects assured the implementation of high quality exchange programs with universities in African countries, 7 were selected, including our university as the only private university in this short list.

In a five-year plan starting from this year, our university will strengthen cooperation with our African partner universities, Sokoine University of Agriculture (Tanzania) and Jomo-Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (Kenya), and activate bidirectional student exchanges to develop the next-generation leaders that will promote improvement of food and nutrition in Africa.
