Sustainable Agriculture in Asia

Sustainable development is the key to the prosperity, human health and environment conservation. Agriculture plays a major role in sustainable development in Asia. This course will focus on dimensions, dynamics and role of agriculture, food and environment in the Asian region, with emphasis on Japan and the following spheres: (1) sustainable agriculture and post-production systems; (2) food production and consumption patterns and behavior; and (3) integrated approach to address the current and emerging problems in agriculture, food and environment.
