Entrance exam for international students

Those corresponding to any of the following items 1 to 3:

  1. A person of foreign nationality who has completed, or who anticipates completing by March 31, 2018, 12 years of school education in a normal course outside Japan
  2. A person of foreign nationality who has graduated, or who anticipates graduating by March 31, 2018, from an overseas educational institution designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology
  3. A person of foreign nationality who lives outside Japan, has reached a suitable age, and is recognized by Tokyo University of Agriculture as possessing academic ability equaling or surpassing that of a person who has graduated from an upper secondary school

Entrance exam for returnees

A person of Japanese nationality who was enrolled for two or more years, including the final year, in an overseas upper secondary school based on a foreign country’s curriculum and who has completed (within the last two years), or who anticipates completing by March 31, 2018, 12 years of school education in a normal course

Application period Friday, October 27 – Wednesday, November 8, 2017, by postal mail only (must be postmarked by the deadline)

Announcement of successful applicants 1:00 PM, Friday, December 8, 2017
Admission procedures period Friday, December 8 to Friday, December 15, 2017, by postal mail only (must be postmarked by the deadline)

Entrance examination workbooks are issued in May and application guidebooks are issued in early September. Both are mailed free of charge.

Subjects of the Entrance Exam

Undergraduate: Japanese (60 minutes), English (60 minutes), interview (conducted in Japanese)
