Directors of Afghan Ministry of Agriculture & Livestock and Ministry of Rural Development visited TUA

As part of ‘The Project for the Promotion and Enhancement of the Afghan Capacity for Effective Development (PEACE)’ organized by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), a group of 10 people, including representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, the Ministry of Energy and Water, and the Ministry of Counter Narcotics and so on visited Tokyo University of Agriculture (TUA) on March 14, 2012. These representatives hold human resource related managerial positions in their respective governmental ministries, and thus are in a position to recommend qualified candidates for the project.
This visit was designed to enhance mutual understanding between the Afghan government and Tokyo University of Agriculture, a host institution receiving Afghan students through the project. After Prof. Shiwachi, the deputy-director of the Center for International Programs, introduced our institution, Prof. Natsuaki, Prof. Takane, and Assoc.Prof. Koshio, of the Department of International Agricultural Development, showed the representatives around Setagaya Campus and the research facilities.
