Rural Districts Support Center (RSC)

Outline

RSC commenced operations in 2009. We aim to actualize revitalization of rural area, collaborating between industry, academia and government. We specialize in the Environment, Education, Health, and Woody biomass.

We expect

  • for the industrial world to create shared value,(*The concept of shared value which focuses on the connections between societal and economic progress has the power to unleash the next wave of global growth.)
  • for national and local governments to shift policy to aiming for coexistence of people and nature, and for environmental consideration,
  • for rural districts to be revitalized by creating interregional exchange which based on building a good relationship with companies, universities, and urban residents.

Recent Work

  • 2009-2010
    The Forestry Agency funded project for promotion of social collaboration to realize development of local districts.
  • 2010-2014
    The Forestry Agency funded project for promotion of general utilization of forest resources especially in Satoyama area.
  • 2011
    The Forestry Agency commissioned project of holding symposiums of United Nations International Year of Forests.
  • 2011-2014
    Cooperative Research Project for construction of "Smart Village" with SHIMIZU CORPORATION, a major construction company.
  • 2011-2012
    The Ministry of Environment commissioned research project for development of woody biomass fuel, and of its running system.
  • 2012-2014
    The Ministry of Environment commissioned research project for development of woody biomass fuel, and of its running system.
